Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Does Photo Reset upload my photos to any server?
No. Photo Reset reviews and organizes your Apple Photos library on your device. The app does not upload your photos, videos, filenames, timestamps, or review decisions to our servers or RevenueCat. If you use iCloud Photos, Apple may sync your library according to your iCloud settings. Photo Reset has no media storage backend. Versions with optional rewarded ads use Google AdMob and its consent SDK, which may process technical and ad-interaction data as explained in our Privacy Policy; Photo Reset does not send photo-library content to these services. Pro purchase validation uses Apple and RevenueCat, which process purchase information and an anonymous App User ID as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. What happens when I delete photos or recordings in the app?
When you choose to delete photos, screenshots, or screen recordings:
- Photo Reset uses Apple's official system deletion confirmation.
- Once confirmed, items are moved to the "Recently Deleted" album in your Apple Photos app.
- They remain recoverable in Apple Photos for up to 30 days before permanent deletion.
3. How do I restore my Photo Reset Pro purchase?
If you reinstalled the app or switched to a new device:
- Open Photo Reset.
- Tap the Settings tab.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
Because Photo Reset Pro is a Lifetime purchase linked directly to your Apple ID, your Pro features will activate immediately without any additional charge.
4. What is the Vault, and does it hide photos from Apple Photos?
The Vault is an in-app privacy exclusion filter:
- It prevents sensitive memories from appearing in Daily Reset, Explorer views, local notifications, and Home Screen widgets.
- It does not hide, encrypt, or move your photos inside Apple Photos or iCloud.
5. Why do some photos not appear in Daily Reset or Explorer?
If you selected Limited Access when prompted by iOS, Photo Reset can only see the photos you explicitly selected.
- To check or change access: Go to iOS Settings > Photo Reset > Photos and choose Full Access or use Manage Selected Photos in the app's Settings tab.
6. How does the Daily Photo Widget work?
The Daily Photo Widget is an opt-in feature for Photo Reset Pro:
- It displays a photo from this day in past years directly on your Home Screen.
- It refreshes automatically every morning.
- Sensitive photos in your Vault are strictly excluded from appearing on the widget.
7. How do I cancel or request a refund?
Photo Reset Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase (no recurring subscriptions). All payments are processed directly by Apple. If you need a refund, you can request one via Apple's official refund portal: reportaproblem.apple.com.
